革の規格・試験方法

革のＪＩＳ 革のJISで規定されている試験方法の大部分は、一般社団法人日本皮革産業連合会（皮産連）が原案作成団体として登録されています。一部のJISについては、当協会（NPO法人日本皮革技術協会）が原案作成団体となっています。 当協会は、皮産連に協力して、JIS原案の作成に関わっており、国際規格（ISO TC 120 Leather）のオブザーバー、欧州標準化委員会（CEN TC 289 Leather）のオブザーバーとしても活躍しています。 2013年から、JIS K 6550の改正を行い、2016年に22の試験方法に分割して制定しました。その後、ISO規格をJIS化することを中心に、新規JISの制定を進め、2024年までに新たに12の試験方法を制定し、現在は34のJISが制定されています。 国際規格 ISO（International Organization for Standardization、国際標準化機構）は世界の工業、科学技術の標準化を推進するために設立されました。これは製品やサービスの国際交流を容易にし、知的・科学的・技術的・経済的活動分野における国際間の協力を助長するために世界的な標準化及びその関連活動の発展促進を目指す機構で、各国の代表的標準化機関で構成されています。 この機構が制定した規格はISOに分類ごとに系統番号をつけて分類され、原則として国別標準との間でも整合性があります。また、当協会が所属しているIULTCS（International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies、国際皮革技術者化学者協会連合会）が革に関するISO規格の国際標準化団体となっており、CEN（European Committee for Standardization、欧州標準化委員会）と共同でISOの試験方法を検討していいます。 私ども日本皮革技術協会は、国際規格（ISO TC 120 Leather）のオブザーバー、欧州標準化委員会（CEN TC 289 Leather）のオブザーバー、IULTCSの委員としても活躍しています。
